March 2026
“It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver.”- Mahatma Gandhi
With March comes the unpredictability of weather… and Spring.
In the ancient system of Ayurveda, this is the ideal time of year to practice detoxification (panchakarma). In fact, this is how my Functional Medicine journey began — with a spring Ayurvedic detox in 2013. I experienced a profound transition in both body and mind as I moved out the heaviness that naturally accumulates in winter.
Winter is protective. We eat more calories, heavier foods, more fat and density. We sleep longer. We turn inward. Spring, however, brings rising energy - what has been underground begins to sprout. Trees bud. Days lengthen. Momentum builds.
When we clear the density of winter and harness the energy of spring, there is a current we can ride. It’s like drafting behind a cyclist or floating with a strong river current. The work becomes easier, deeper, and more effective. This is why detoxification in spring is optimal. We are working with the earth’s energy, not against it.
When using hormone replacement - whether thyroid, estrogen, progesterone, or testosterone - detoxification can significantly improve how these hormones function. Detox helps clear hormone receptors so that binding improves and signaling becomes more precise. This is a critical piece of hormone medicine.
How to Get Started with Detox
There are many detox programs available. Some are thoughtful and supportive; others, not so much. I can guide you through a comprehensive detox process with proven results.

TruDiagnostic Discount - Through June 2026
A few weeks ago, I submitted my TruAge and TruHealth testing and am eagerly awaiting results. This level of in-depth evaluation is truly remarkable.
Biological age reflects how old your body is - not simply how many trips around the sun you’ve made. We all know individuals in their 60s who look and function like they’re in their 80s - and vice versa. This testing evaluates:
• Biological age
• Rate of aging
• Organ system performance and biological age of each organ system
• Areas that may benefit from lifestyle optimization
This science, developed through research at Harvard and Yale, represents the cutting edge of longevity medicine. We are now beginning to make targeted lifestyle recommendations based on epigenetic patterns - an exciting frontier in preventive health.
